If you are taking lessons
Ask what your session includes before packing a full setup. Wing Foil Maui lessons include equipment; KBA wing-foil lessons in Rawai also include equipment. Confirm any preferences or plans to use your own gear with the instructor.
If you want to rent
- Share your riding level, dates and equipment preferences so the provider can assess suitability.
- Confirm the actual board, foil and wing options available, and what accessories are included.
- Ask about collection or delivery, rental hours, deposits, damage terms and weather cancellations.
- Compare the full rental quote with the cost of taking your own equipment. Phuket rentals are quoted individually.

If you bring your own equipment
- Measure and weigh your packed bag. Check sports-equipment rules with every operating airline on your itinerary, including connections.
- Confirm dimensions, weight limits, fees and whether advance booking is required. Airline policies vary; this guide does not quote a universal allowance.
- Follow your equipment manufacturer’s packing instructions. Check protection for the board, foil components and hardware.
- Confirm that your transfer vehicle can carry the packed bag and your accommodation has suitable storage.
- Check the rules for any tools or batteries you plan to carry before packing them.
